After a 10+ year hiatus the members of Hedstrom have come back together, across state lines and states of mind to make the album "My Friend Steve". Through genre bending soundscapes and lyrics that embody escapism, politics and heartache, to form a sonically charged resistance to the norm. Originally formed in Kalamazoo Michigan, the members of Hedstrom now live states apart. The end works were recorded in New York and Michigan. In the process of making "My Friend Steve" a marriage, a separation and even the birth of a baby took place.
